Crest Pro-Health?

#1 Post by Grapefruit »

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone has tried this oral rinse? It doesnt have any alcohol unlike listerine. I try to use Listerine when I can, but it is way tooo intense for me  ! I cannot handle it, my mouth feels like its on fire and its numb for a couple of minutes after I use it...haha like novocaine!

But anyways, I just wanted to know if anyone tried this and if it lives up to the claim of "killing millions of germs without the burn of Alcohol".

I never really used crest toothpaste, except when I was like 4, with the blue gloopy and sparkly toothpaste lol. I'm a Colgate Total lady now!

I haven't but when I get done with my bottle of Listerine (I tried the citrus kind because it is 'less intense') I would like to try and see if it really doesn't burn like it says.

I've been using the pro-health stuff since I got my braces off (my ortho got a huge box of free samples and a big thing to keep in the office, with a pump and everything...the day I got my braces off) and I love it. It doesn't burn at all and tastes really good. I rinse my retainers off in it sometimes even.

It works ok, but it leaves blue junk sticking to your braces.

I was thinking about buying that mouth wash next, but i'll pass. I used it once at my friend's home. its not all that. Act and listerine will do just fine.

I have tried it and besides leaving the blue gunk on my braces, didn't do anything for my gums. I've been flossing every day on the advice of my dentist and using Listerine because I had pretty bad gingivitis. It's so nice to see pink gums instead of red! :)

Yeah it does leave blue stuff. Whenever I use it I rinse with water after because it seems to tinge my teeth slightly blue for a little while. Once I swished it around with my retainers in my mouth. Ewww. It looked like blue string cheese or something lol

Ive used it for a week, so I dont really know if it works or not. It doesnt burn like listerine though. The blue gunk does annoy me, but rinsing takes care of it.

I would give it an ok :)

I normally use the green listerine so it was nice not to have the alcohol taste...

The two bad things are the blue gunk and the super minty flavor (it is almost too minty for me)

Walmart has it really cheap...think it was $3.50 for a liter

I have only been using it a week so maybe I will like it more by the end of the bottle

ahh its nice BUT i hate the blue gunk and the weird aftertaste..in fact to get rid of the aftertaste i end up using Listerine! which is pointless, even though it burns, i might just stick to Listerine, because I can't stand having to re-brush my teeth to get the blue gunk out of my teeth! so ya. l0l.

I love the taste of Pro-health, but it turns my tongue and teeth a nice shade of blue - YUCK.

Hahaha Celestialvoices, I am thinking the total opposite. All this talk about blue gunk makes me curious to see exactly what this "blue string cheese" is like :)
