can i use an interdental brush instead of floss

hi! i've had my braces on about a year now but i've only just thought to ask this question! at the moment i'm using the little interdental brushes to clean between my teeth (tepee brushes, or something similar) but i'm beginning to wonder if i should also be flossing...

any tips/advice??

An interdental brush can help keep your gums and teeth clean, but IMO it's no substitute for regular daily flossing.
I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!
