I wouldn't worry about your tooth moving back. The bracket just came off last night! I doubt any damage has been done. Just think, that one tooth got a taste of freedom! But tomorrow it'll be back behind bars where it belongs.

Well I am all bracketed up again. Took under 5 minutes, didn't even take the wire totally out or anything.

My tooth sure moved a lot in 2 days. A LOT, I will post a pic, so I hope it moves back again.

I treated myself to a Timmys double double...YUMMY!!!!!!!! I have to get the new tooth glue stained ASAP so it looks like my other stained teeth.

So I was suppose to get my first adjustment next week but I was in SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH PAIN in my lower back molar area I had to go in a week early to get them to look at it so they changed my wires. YEAH!!!

They don't know why I am in pain by the gum area where my wisdom tooth was removed a million years ago it is all irritated and so sore any time I have something hot or cold. There is not much room back there so the molar band is kind of squished and making sores and stuff. They said salt water for a week and they removed some glue and bent the hook so hopefully that will help. If not I will go back next week and have the last molar band removed. Hopefully it is just minor irritation and will go away. I do not want or can not afford a root canal or anything more dental.

I will let you know if I have adjustment pain but first couple hours okay. :jump:

I will update my pictures later this week!! for my 8 week mark!

So I saw a lot of people I have not seen in months or years and EVERYONE in the first couple seconds of saying hi was like OHHHH YOU GOT BRACES. So much for thinking no one would notice. Oh well, I always reply Yup, feel like a big loser and they go OH NO NO NO . Oh well unless I am going to become a ventriloquist not much I can do, I don't even really care most of the time.

Just had a Timmys large double double, my new treat after I got to the ortho. Got to go brush my teeth and salt water, wish me luck with the pain!!

NOTE:
Oh in case anyone doesn't know a Timmys large double double sounds like a yummy shot of booze but its a Tim Horton's coffee 2 cream 2 sugar.

Hope your tooth pain goes away!! Glad that you were able to go in early and get it looked at - that would really bug me.

Nice thing about going to see the ortho - doesn't cost money like going to the dentist (well, it's all part of the treatment cost)...

Hopefully the salt water rinses help. Hope there is no adjustment pain. They say it's not as bad as when you first get your braces..

Timmy's. <drool> Went with a group of friends to a wedding in Upstate NY and drove through and had Timmy's Molten Lava Processed delicious coffee. I swear, that coffee stayed hot for three states and two countries!

Hope you're doing okay, girlie.

Molton Lava Processed coffee?? At Tim Hortons? I haven't heard of this. I thought half hot chocolate and half coffee was unique....or a hazelnut shot. But molton lava??? Are we just behind here in Ontario?

MarcilLouWho is joking about the heat of the coffee. Although I did do a quick Google to check <grin.>

Elle! I'm going for my third adjustment today. This means a McDonalds Quarter Pounder as my treat post Ortho. Thus far in my treatment I've been able to do so if I eat within an hour of the adjustment before my teeth know what hit them.

10 weeks - 70 days today !!!!!

Well it is kind of going fast but when I think I have 858 days (worst case scenario) left it makes me have a panic attack and wonder WHAT THE HECK I have done .....ODGWHID.....So I kind of try to pretend they are not there and then everyone I know and also complete strangers comment on them so that is kind of hard to keep pretending. I must say it is amazing how much better they look after just 10 weeks but there is a lot of work to still do. Funny thing is if my teeth were this straight (and I know it is not even close to being perfect) I would never have bothered getting braces.

My upper wonky tooth really bothered me and though it is not in line completely I don't even really look at it anymore I am OBSESSED with the lowers which is hilarious because before I saw close up pictures of them they didn't really bother me compared to upper WONKY so it is funny how things change. On my lower right fang there is a MASSIVE black hole, not even a hole more like a massive crater, I can even stick a Christmas tree brush right thru it. Seeing the fang straighten out is my new obsession.

My pain in my lower back molar band is luckily GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which makes me VERY VERY happy, never had shooting pain thru my teeth like that before. I guess it was a tiny piece of glue in there PISSING me off. I like to be dramatic and think that my tooth is suddenly rotting away and it is going to cause thousands of millions of dollars in dental bills and that my mouth is ruined forever.....ummmm..... just a bit of glue

I find I rarely have to use wax UNLESS I take my painkillers for a couple days and then things start hurting....weird......maybe it causes my mouth to become irritated or maybe dehydrated??? Not really sure

Well, I would also like to complain that this is the WORST diet EVER, I can not chew my favorite healthy foods and have actually gained a couple pounds  So much for not having to watch what I eat. I think it is because I have fallen in love with peanut butter again and cheesys and sometimes alcohol to make me feel prettier.

Anyways, so here is the picture of me 10 week teeth. I hope everyone is doing well and seeing their teeth move.

You're looking so good!

We could be teeth twins, I feel the same way about my upper and lower teeth! I wish my lowers had lined up as fast as yours have. All in due time...

Hey Elle! Get out. It's only been 10 weeks? It feels like you've been enriching OUR lives for eons.

Your teeth are looking great. It's so rewarding how quickly they shift at first. I'm finally starting to notice (well, feel anyhow) my rear teeth moving.

I skipped my McDonalds treat post Ortho the other day and instead had a Subway meatball sub w/chips and pop. The kind of meal proxabrushes were made for.

Take care Kiddo.

Things are looking great, Elle! It's hard for me to believe that you are in the 2+ category like I am. Here's hoping that the bite work goes as quickly as the straightening is going:)

Hi Elle!

As my company's currently involved in a merger, I have had less than my usual 36 seconds of free time per week and haven't visited here (or the Braces app, for that matter) in a week or more.

We were in Upstate New York and drove to Niagra - we crossed over into Canada for a bit and that's where we scored the deliciousness that is Timmy's. I still maintain they processed that coffee through molten lava. It was hot all the way through Pennsylvania!

Glad to hear you're doing well, hon.

Hey guys

Hope everyone is doing well and Spring is near for everyone.

SO my husband started a new job and I THOUGHT that I would get some coverage BUT NOPE!!! have to be under 18, old age sucks, okay I am almost 33 but still OLD to extended medical/dental. I think there is a extended account I have to figure out. I LOVE "free" money though, good news is I can go to the dentist ASAP  for FREE!!!! :jump: more money for clothes!!!

I had my 2nd adjustment yesterday and they said my teeth are looking great and that at my next adjustment in 6 weeks they will take a scan to see where all the roots are. I got a thicker rectangle wire on the top and bottom. Hurt a bit yesterday nothing a drink and advil could not fix. I like adjustment pain because I know that it gets me closer to the finish line. I think they were saying finishing wires were next which get me super excited but then I remember I have like a million days left. I only have one tooth with a gap now and everything is looking AWESOME!!!!

My overbite was 10 mm before and looks only like 3mm or so now after only 3 months with just braces no elastics or scary springs yet. CRAZY!!!! :jump:

My husband made a funny comment that he can't believe braces actually work, he thought it was like a scam or something, he must really love me to spend $7000 on something for me even though he didn't think it would work.

Going to go call my dentist to see when I can get in for a cleaning!!!!

Take care, hope everyone's teeth are moving!!!

Elle
