Hello, My name is Belinda and I finally have braces. I had them put on 3 days after oral surgery. I am in on pain,,and I am more than pleased with what is going on.

I got mine two weeks before my 38th birthday. I hope to have them off before 40!

I just got braces at 50, so kudos to you for doing it while you were younger. I hope you get a great result!

Braced: March 19th 2008
Impacted wisdom teeth extraction surgery: June 20th 2008 1pm (13 hours of fasting)
Jaw surgery (upper and lower)Lefort 1 with Madable Advancement: June 2nd 2009 @8am!!!! 1 surgery down 2 surgeries to go!!
debrace day: jan 18th 2010!!!! *has 2 fixed retainers and an essix retainer for night time now!

I am an adult with braces. I wish I had known this site when I first put on braces. Now it's been almost two years, I finally came across this. :'(

I am 38 and finally got them too! They put the top braces on yesterday and the spacers to do the rest.

Oh man, I see this now... :lol:

I'm 38 and get my braces off next week, after being in them for 2 years and 4 months, and 4 months after Upper and Lower Jaw surgery.

If you can, take some photo's of your teeth - I'm glad I did. First couple of months were frustrating as I didn't think my teeth were moving, but then 6 months later I compared my first day in braces and the 6 month shot and it really blew me away!
