actually...the cost of my braces is..urm...um...yeah.. FREE! lol..well not really... i looked on craigslist and found an orthodontist who needed a service that my husband provides...he owns a landscaping company and she had just moved to the area and purchased a nice big home and needed her yard to look real purdy....so we did a barter deal...more people should look into doing that..i see dentist, lawyers, webdesigners...etc...always looking to trade off services...if you have what they need then SCORE! you got yourself a great deal...

3. What kind of braces do you have? Ceramic top and bottom
4. What is your estimated time in braces? 2 Years - 2 1/2 yrs

Medicare in Australia has actually covered $3300 of it and I didn't go through my health fund. Because my braces are for medical reasons and not cosmetic I was eligible for the Medicare dental care plan, I just had to get a referral from my GP.

My insurance only covers $1000 so I have to fork over the rest.
