lost set 9 of 18top/14bottom
Can anyone help please? I was half way through set 9 (of 18 top /14 bottom) and whilst staying over last night at a friends house someone has accidentally disposed of them - flushed away we assume. It's a bank holiday weekend and the ortho won't be contactable for 2 days - I have an appointment in 4 days to get my next 3 sets (10,11 and 12).Should I continue without and wait for set 10 at that appointment and hope they fit - or should I take a step back to set 8 with the risk of taking a backward step and then possibly having to wait for a replacement set 9 - not sure how long this will take to arrive in England either.Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

If it were me i would go back to your previous aligner. At least this way you know your teeth won't regress any further than they already have (regress beyond the position in which they were at in the previous aligner that is). Thats just my opinion though.

Thanks for your advice - I suspected as much - I suppose I was just hoping I could get away with it!My main concern was that it was going to be a wait and possibly a further charge for a replacement - do you know anything about this or does that depend on your provider? - Thanks anyway - you've made my mind up!

Definitely go back to the previous set. 4 days of no aligners is far too long and you will definitely find that your teeth have shifted if not retained until your next visit.
The cost of the aligner replacements is going to depend on your contract with your office, as there is no standard from Align Technology as a company for this. Good luck!
