A bit of love for the Metal Mouth Forum

#1 Post by Englishgirl »

Can I just give a bit of love to the Metal Mouth Forum?

I get my braces off next week. The time has, as promised, flown by, and the whole experience hasn't been anywhere near as terrible as I worried it would be. In fact it's been absolutely fine. I never thought I'd say that when I was shaking with nerves the day before getting the braces on.

The thing is that I'm certain the last 14 months would have been 100% more stressful if it hadn't been for this brilliant website to which I have returned repeatedly seeking reassurance, solace and brace-face kinship with others in the same boat.

So to everyone on here, boosting each other along, and to Lynn, Queen of the site, a massive thank you for being there. You're great.

Hi English girl! Lucky you, to be debraced next week! I agree with you this web site has made a lot of difference to me too! I got more answers by asking questions here or by reading other people's posts than from my orthodontist!
Good luck for next week!

Congratulations English Girl!! You must be so happy!!

I love this site too....it's been extremely helpful! I feel like I can connect with all the other people going through what I'm going through, our ups and downs, frustrations, excitement, etc.

Besides, everyone at home is quite tired of me talking about my braces all the time...HA!

But here, I can talk about them as much as I want without getting an eye roll

This is awesome news. Please 'feast' us with pics of your new de-braced smile ;)

Such a community is great since we're all in the same 'boat' here and we can discuss about it freely. My folks hate it when I start explaining to them all this stuff and it's sometimes great to just be able to chat with some people who'd gone through what we're going.

Queen of the site! LOL  :-*

Last time I looked, the only crown I owned was on one of my bottom molars!
