44 year old --- Day 1 -- In-Ovation C with spacers....

I had braces put on this morning. In-Ovation C with spacers for the Quad Helix that's coming next week...Whoo Hoo! Pain is setting now. Advice? Comments? Suggestions?
....What have I done????

Yes the first day with braces feels worse than being punched really hard in your mouth! I found the selfligating brackets much harder to get used to than the metal brackets.....but once they're on they're on ....... try some cold wine, or cold water or maybe some pain killers. I use catafast when the pain is too much. Don't worry it won't remain so bad! There are a couple of moments during the day when I forget I have braces..... :cry:

You've just started the rollercoaster of bracedom! I'm 43, and have had the joys of both the braces and the quad helix. I found the QH made my tongue pretty sore, but it did do a good job in widening my arch. Good luck with it and let us know how you get on.

I just got the rest of my braces yesterday all i can say is I FEEL YOUR PAIN.

look forward to watching your progress

My husband (joking) said he loving it because im talking less, the smile dissappeared when i told him its not permenant :lol:
