I'm now 4 weeks post Op, but during the 1st week, i cracked my tooth inside my splint. With my tongue, i can now feel the short/sharp too slightly sticking out of my gum with a abnormal space between the two surrounding tooth. I'm not sure how much is left in there (because of the splint and surrounding teeth, but I'm pretty sure it's cracked. I know it wasn't cracked right after surgery, but might have happened during rough 1st week of sneezing, yawns, and irritations.
3 brackets also came off and one of my teeth in the front feels like it's going to come out right after the splint is removed (i feel like my gum receded and I can now feel the bottom of my there that should be nicely tucked in my gum.
Anyone else have similar experiences? Anyone have teeth just "fall out" when the splint is removed? What would be my options then?
Thanks

Re: Cracked tooth in Splint, teeth wiggling
Are you wearing a splint because you're upper jaw was segmented?
You could have parafunctional habits at night (i.e. clenching, grinding your teeth) which can cause some of the problems you are having.
There are other concerning things about your situation. PM me.

I'm not sure how to PM.
But it's just a splint for after lower jaw surgery. Is that what it's called? the plastic between my teeth while it's wired shut? not sure.. haha
