Wow, I just noticed that you and I are on similar time frames. It'll be interesting to see your progress vs. mine -- although, we have different things that are being accomplished. Still, kinda cool that I know someone else who has had similar dates!

Happy holidays to all the arch wired out there! I hope everyone in Canada and State-side had a great Thanksgiving. Had my latest adjustment recently and it went pretty uneventfully. Nothing to really report so I'll get right to the pics. I've decided it's time to start doing the before and after so the progress is easier to see. I am particularly proud of the bottom now... I guess I just never really realized how completely wonky my teeth really were until I see them next to the perfect row they will become.

Your progress is amazing! I can't believe how quickly that one tooth on the top front got into line. I have 2 tilted premolars, just like that one that you have, and it is the MOST annoying part of my braces thus far. I've had coil springs over both of those teeth for almost 9 months now. The one side definitely has room around it now, the other side is progressing I think....but very slooooowly. Every time I go in for an adjustment I'm hoping that he'll tell me it's the day that there will be progress. It's all a guess for me though. Oh well, as long as my teeth end up lovely in the end I guess the wait will have been worth it. Great progress, keep those pics coming!

Thanks! Seeing the pics are always my fav part of everyone's progress updates so I really enjoy throwing them in. Yeah, that tooth and the one on the bottom have been the biggest challenge and I seriously can't believe how far I've come... the pics really do shock me everytime I see them. I close my eyes and really try to remember what it was like running my tongue over the back of my upper arch and can't quite do it anymore. I hope they tie in the tooth that has adequate room to move at your next adjustment, that's an exciting day!

I do that too lol try to remember what my crooked teeth felt like in my mouth. I can't do it though, I'm so used to the way they are now. That's ok with me though, because they're not even halfway done yet and it's a huge improvement!

Not really much to report for my last adjustment. I was actually going to skip it this month seeing as to how my next one is tomorrow, buuuuuuuut... I took the pics and did the editing work, might as well throw them on here!

So I went to my 15th orthodontic adjustment today expecting nothing more than the tweaking of a few wire ties and the changeout of my powerchains. Was I in for a surprise! They removed the big spring finally and engaged the wayward premolar on the bottom, the final remnant of my ridiculous overcrowding is now gone. They also put a larger wire on the bottom, the same size as the one on my top. They gave me some new powerchains in new places and I've now moved into Phase II pain... elastics! I have to say I'm pretty excited about that, the sooner my bite improves the better. I haven't been able to physically touch my front 6 bottom and top teeth together since last Sept. I just want to bite into food properly again! So my next adjustment won't be for another 8 weeks, I'm kinda bummed but looking forward to the next time I can see some more change

Check out that horizontal premolar on the bottom right (my left)... talk about progress eh?

Well, after wearing elastics for two months, my bite has improved dramatically. I can now use both sides of my mouth to chew with again. All but my very front teeth are finally touching again as well. Not much was changed during my adjustment, I was just given a new elastic and way to wear it. Things are moving along really smoothly now!
