Hey, was wondering if anyone is having a mild underbite corrected with a removable palate expander? My underbite is slight and not very noticeable to others, but really bothers me. Ortho has suggested expanding the upper jaw to move my top teeth over the bottom which im going to proceed with, she explained that this could cause some spaces, but this would be corrected with braces after over jet is achieved. She has also suggested possibly filing down or making some of my bottom teeth slightly thinner so top teeth will sit over them....has anyone had a similar experience and if it works, Im 33 btw, and wore braces in my teens, but unfortunately my bottom jaw continued to grow after the braces were removed :(
