They're go!

#1 Post by EricRoyalOak »

I just got out of my appointment about 30 minutes ago. My braces are on, and I couldn't be more excited to show them off.

I have all metal braces on both sets of teeth, plus 8 molar bands. The whole process took about an hour. I was suprised about the molar bands - I though that they would have to be pounded down around my teeth, but they actually slide on easily. My teeth are not tight together, so that worked in my favor. The brackets are small, so I have more teeth showing than metal.

No pain, no discomfort...just the weird feeling of have something stuck to my teeth. I'm in Starbucks right now drinking iced tea and killing some time. When I ordered my drink I gave the cashier a little smile to show my braces. I got a double take...it looked like she was surprised to see my bearded face with braces. The next step is going into work and seeing who says something.....

You're lucky-- my molar bands were pressed onto my teeth (real hard), because mine are tight together. Congrats!
