Chipped Lower Canine
Somehow, I have managed to chip a tiny, tiny piece of the lower canine off...don't know how but I did. It isn't noticeable unless you really look at it closely and it doesn't hurt at all. It was chipped off the very top at the point. I believe that I did it while I was sleeping because it looks as though my top canine hit the lower canine and it what caused the chip. I am going to try and get a mouthguard to wear at night to keep from anything like this happening again....Do i need to contact my ortho, is there anything I should be worried with?

Definitely talk to your ortho about the mouth guard (and mention why you think you should get it).
Fitted mouth guards are just that - fitted to your teeth, and with braces you're trying to move your teeth, so many (if not all) mouthguards may work against what you're trying to do with your braces!

Ortho didn't seem to concerned when they found out about it. They said just keep an eye on it. They said I can get a bite guard if I wanted to but not to get a mouthguard as it will interfere with my teeth moving. I am not too concerned as it is very small and can be fixed with composite/filing.
