Hi Harriet,

On your photos from 12th March where you have had your braces removed, in the 'after' photo for your top teethe is the tiny black line the fixed retainer?
I'm due to have my braces off in 4 weeks and have the fixed retainer fitted, is it just a small wire? are there any brackets involved?

Thanks
:-)

Hi Harriet, I just finished with the 6 month braces as you did. I had the pemanent bonded retainers put in. They almost feel as if I have brces on the inside of y mouth. The bonding material over the wire is like having a series of bumps behind each tooth. Did you get this done also? And if so what does it feel like? I wonder if they can grind the bumps down flat. Very uncomfortable for the tongue. I may get the clear removeable.
Thanks,

Mike

Hi yes I have a bonded retainer top and bottom. I found it slightly uncomfortable for a day or so but now I only notice it if I think about it. I have essix retainers too which I wear at night.
