Teeth removal for overjet

Teeth removal for overjet
I need two top teeth removed for an overjet to be corrected. The closer the appt is I am feeling that it could be a mistake, once the teeth are removed you can't put them back. Will my face look totally different or sunken. My braces have been on for 9 months and everything seems straight except for the overjet (it is actually smaller now that my teeth are straight and more curved rather than the v shape it used to be)
Re: Teeth removal for overjet
don't pull them

You consult another ortho and see what other consultant think or just talk to your current ortho about your concern , you will feel more confident of the situation .
I agree that once they are removed u can't have them back,, I was exactly in the same situation and went to another ortho cuz I was soo worried about the extraction . He told me that I don't need to extract them .

My Story and Progress Update
Re: Teeth removal for overjet
I have had two different orthodontists opinion. Without the top two back teeth extractions i will still have this huge overjet. My top teeth were in a v shape while my lower front teeth were square and falling in. The bottom are now corrected thanks to the braces. My top teeth still sit on my bottom lip but not like they were. Before braces I had to be very aware that my lips were covering my front teeth when my mouth was closed now they do not. If I want the correct bite i need the extractions done so that my top and lower teeth match.

The alternative for you, as it was for me, is jaw surgery to bring your lower jaw forward. These was deemed necessary for me as my ortho said that if he removed 2 upper teeth (to drop my upper jaw back and correct my overjet) this would thin my upper lip and age me prematurely. Best of luck with your decision, and take out full health insurance cover before consulting a surgeon!!!
