Hey Neptune and BracketRacket,
I can't believe you two have premolar baby teeth as well! I seriously thought I was the only one that had a baby tooth. The reason why I thought it was so rare is because every time I would go into the dentist all of the assistants would be totally wowed by the tooth, as if they have never seen one before.
At the start of my treatment my ortho said that it is a good idea to leave it in, especially since it is still very strong. The last time I went in for an adjustment my ortho did a couple of strength tests and he said that the tooth is definitely hanging on strong.
I guess it is a little disappointing that the baby tooth through off my mid-line, but at least my bite seems OK. The only thing to worry about is when this tooth is going to fall out. I am hoping I get at least another 5 good years out of it.
Sooooooooooo I only have three more days to go before I am completely BRACE FREE! I am starting to get extremely excited. Hopefully I will be able to go to sleep the next couple nights.
