At 34, I have become increasingly upset with the condition of my teeth. I have two sets of fixed bridges and a few molar crowns. My biggest complaint, however, is that my two front crowns are so wide (to cover a gap and to somewhat cover a 4mm overjet) while the 2 side ones (also crowned) are--obviously, too small.
I visited the ortho. (expecting him to say that I was beyond help) and he actually seemed optimistic that he could help me with braces on my top and lower (crowded) bottom teeth. He seems to think that he can "slenderize" the crowns (which---I am not sure he noticed---are of varying thickness!)
Any opinions? My "second option" was to have all of my teeth removed (which my dentist disagreed with). Is this ortho. too optimistic???
Great news; but unrealistic?
