How long until I see results

I har just got my lingual braces on 6 days ago (last Wednesday) and
I would like to know when an I going to start seeing the results. My teeth
Are severely overcrowded (upper teeth) and so far I did not experience
Any pain or discomfort with my braces, (is this normal??!).

So can anyone tell me when am I going to see the results

I saw progress by the end of week six & even my orthodontist. I am at the beginning of month six and my lowers are all upright now - instead of pulling over front two teeth.

No pain/discomfort- very lucky.

I've only had mine 3 weeks and I haven't seen any change. Even though when I look I don't see it, when I smile my teeth don't line up the same anymore.

You are so LUCKY you didn't have any pain. On day 2 and 3, I was really reconsidering. Now I still feel pressure and discomfort when I eat grapes, fried shrimp, and solids like that. I've been trying to replace meals with protein shakes so I don't have to pick a bunch of stuff out of my teeth.

My suggestion take pictures weekly or monthly to see your progress.

I would say about 6-8 weeks for me. Once I saw progress it went fast. My teeth were straight within 3 months and now we are fixing my bite which is taking forever. Right now my midline is being fixed and that should be about it except for a bit of tweeking.

I saw results start within the first week but only with 1 tooth. It wasn't obvious but I could see wires straightening slightly. I think this is the most obvious sign of movement so it might be a bit harder to see with linguals, you might need to be a contortionist to get a good view of the wires. There has been a bit more improvement since and this I can feel rather than see as my teeth dont press on my tongue so much. Over all I think diffrent people see changes at different times depending on their teeth, bones and how close they are looking. (And what they call reasults - I've been noting every tiny change but my teeth look nowhere near straight yet) Don't worry about it though - I was getting quite obsessed!

Edited to add that with crouding things can seem to take forever to happen as the teeth are all in eachothers way then as soon as 1 moves enough they all fall into line super quickly. Don't be discouraged. And feel lucky...some people get no pain while some people (like me) seem to get lots but pain doesn't seem linked to movement or I bet I would be done by now!

I won't worry about the results if I were you. I've been wearing braces for bloody 7 months and trust me, I haven't seen ANY RESULT at all (with the exception of closing this insignificant 1mm gap between my bicuspid and incisor)

Hmm, this thread is strange to me.
Every visit, I see results pretty much like the next day. So far each visit my teeth hurts (indicating pressure for movement).
I'm not an expert but it is strange that your teeth isn't hurting and you don't see results at the beginning. I wouldn't make sense for you to see results say 6 weeks after your visit tbh, the pressure is greatest after they change the wire.

Thanks for the replies guys, my first braces adjustment is in 3 weeks and I will tell my ortodontist to tighten the arch wire as I didn't experience any pain at all.
