in panic.. my widsom tooth erupts while wearing braces.

I just looked at the mirror and just figured out my bottom right widsom tooth has partially erupted as I can feel and see the teeth surface on gum behind my 2nd molar. I remember it was fully impacted on the x-ray i did 6 months ago and my ortho said there is no way it can erupt as there's no room. I'm so scared that the widsom tooth eruption will ruin my bottom teeth alignment. I feel so helpless. Should I get all my widsom teeth out just in case they might erupt due to teeth movement by braces??? I don't wanna go through extractions again as I already got 4 premolars and 1 already erupted widsom tooth out before braces. What should I do???

My wisdom tooth erupted and grew while I had braces - my orthodontist just braced that too!

Take advice from the ortho. Better they erupt now whilst you are braced than later and possibly ruin all the good work (which is what happened to me)

Don't worry, just let your orthodontist know. I am sure he will have a plan on what to do with that tooth.

I agree that you need to discuss this with your ortho. I discussed mine with my ortho. I had 1 wisdom tooth left when I got braces and it was a lower impacted (pushing into the 2nd molar)... he recommended I have it removed to avoid any future problems and that's exactly what I did. He even wrote a letter to my dentist so that my dentist could refer me to the oral surgeon.
