Regrets for the first time today.....

Re: Regrets for the first time today.....
Well, I am back in business. They re-attatched the bracket and went ahead and changed my upper wire to a heavier one. OUCH! Guess that'll teach me to complain to the ortho too much!! Now I am waiting for movement on that stubborn front tooth. But on a positive note.....I may lose a few pounds this time as I surely can't eat. Regrets have passed and thanks for the encouraging words!!

I'm always sorry when I read about problems like this, Lillypad. I am only hoping that I don't have to deal with things like that. It must be SO frustrating!
As for you, xanidu2012, I am glad to know that there is someone else on this forum who rants and rages. I have been feeling a bit self-conscious about the number of "negative" posts I seem to make. I am 54 years old and am scheduled to get braces at the end of October and believe me, I am NOT looking forward to it at all. In fact, I have been feeling extremely sorry for myself. I have developed a very large gap (3.5 mm) between my two front teeth and after being told by my regular dentist and two different orthodontists that I would need braces to close it, I finally decided to bite a bullet and make the appointment to get them put on. But I am really dreading the whole experience. I have never had any issues with my teeth, except for having two root canals in my early 30s. My teeth have always been very straight and quite pretty. Well, they are still straight. That's not the problem. I just look like Ashley Simpson (but without her pocketbook!)
