I was 25 when I got my braces on. I am 26. I will be 27 when they finally come off! I have ceramics on the top and metal on the bottom. I am 11 months into treatment with 13 months to go! I finally decided to get them after not being able to afford them as a child. I look forward to the day they come off. They will be worth it though (I keep telling myself that).

I found my orthodontic evaluation page from my orthodontist. Figure I'd document it here in case I lost it some day.

Diagnostic Findings
Joint Evaluation-Normal range of jaw motion
Facial Evaluation-Good profile; Lower facial height appears normal
Dental-Crowded upper teeth; crowded lower teeth; upper back teeth bite inside lower teeth on left side; upper front teeth overlap lower front teeth by 30%; upper front teeth are out over lower teeth 3mm; normal bite relationship on the right side; upper front teeth offset to the right 1mm; lower front teeth offset to the left 2mm

Does that sound bad? lol

Also found my fee page... $5780 for the entire package (braces, visits, retainers, etc.) My insurance paid $1500. I chose to pay 25% initial payment of $1070 then 24 months at $134 per month. Last month I took out a loan to consolidate my debt and paid it off!
