Got braced 12/19/2012 at the age of 41. Metal uppers and lowers. So far it's been an odd ride!

This is my second time around. I had uppers when I was 12. I am 28 now and just got metal lowers and ceramic uppers on front, but the rest of the uppers are metal other than the front 6.

I got braces the first time at 19. I'm going back in at 33 1/2. :) I'm excited!!

The dentist told me at age 5 that I would need braces, but they didn't go on until age 14. Had upper and lower metal brackets with elastics for about 18 months. Have started seeing the ortho again at 27 to have my lower retainer adjusted, and trying to wear it full time.

I am getting them while I am 23. Hopefully they will be off by 25!

I am 39. I have been fitted with clear brackets on top, with the white wire.
I have had my first adjustment. I am waiting for the wire to become straight so that I can have to bottoms put on.
I thought I was just going to end up with bottom brackets this time around.

I was fitted with my current set at 27 (28 now). This is also my second time around! I think it is much more painful as an adult. I don't remember having such sore teeth after an adjustment as a teenager. Is that just me?

I got my braces put on at age 25 today. This is my first time with braces. I have clear porcelain uppers with a white wire and metal lowers with a metal wire.

The first time I had braces was from the age of 12 to 14. I'm now on my second go at 26.

First time around I was 14 and those were on for two years.

After a few years worth of relapse, I am having them fitted aged 27! I like to think I'm old enough and wise enough to not let that happen again... a bonded retainer might help matters!
Debraced on Friday 20th September 2013!

Loving my new smile :-D

I am 33 and just got braces a week ago:). This board has been a source of many answers to a lot of my questions and research leading to my finally taking the plunge.
