So I knew Faith Hill had braces and I was excited to see her on the Grammy's tonight because I just wanted to see what she looked like. I had seen a picture of her from the CMA's when she had first debuted them. Honestly, it looked like perfect teeth with braces on them. But tonight at the Grammy's, she had a gap between her front teeth. Anyone else notice that? What's the deal? Regression?
Wow, I hadn't realized she had braces. She has a pretty thick archwire now too.
The interviews have her saying she needed the braces because she didn't wear her retainer after having had braces when she was younger.
The first year of my treatment was spent expanding my arch. I developed some small gaps during this time as my arch got wider. Once my arch was in place, I started moving my teeth in position. Personally, it didn't take long with a powerchain to address the gaps.

That's great I appreciate when celebrities do normal things like getting braces. Especially when it sheds a positive light for other people. Good for her!
Looks like the first photo shows her with some rotated and crowded teeth. As her treatment progresses, the goal is to create space for the teeth to move. Once the correct alignment is achieved, it is relatively easy to close spaces. This tends to happen when switching to rectangular wire as the teeth torque forward.
Sometimes patients or their parents will call asking if everything is ok because they see space developing. We kindly reassure them that this is part of the process .

Oh dear...I only know about half the celebrities on that list! Better watch more TV! They all look really confident though...I'm assuming most of them were near the end of treatment when those pics were taken!
