Thank you Rhibee :D Lol, yep, I know it's not that long. It's nice to be able to say it's going to be under a year (fingers crossed).

Mostly I can eat normal food, except for the odd hurty day or for a couple of days after adjustments, but even then I still manage sandwiches, just not meat or anything crunchy or too chewy.

Hi Tobilei!
I've been a bit slack with commenting on the forum of late.

Are you having much pain? I have found that chewing gum keeps the bad pain at bay making it easier to cope with.

You're teeth are coming along really well! You must be stoked!

Hi Tobelei,
Yes, I'm sure the elastics will be worth it despite the huge hassle they're going to be. Just hang in as best you can and in no time at all you'll be finished with them.
The small space between my lower right incisor and my lower right eyetooth is almost completely closed. I find this whole process simply amazing -- that they can move teeth like they can in such a short amount of time! Wow!!

Thank you 30withbraces :) Don't worry! Sometimes life gets busy, same happens to me and then I realize I've not spoken to anyone on here for a while. Thank you! I am super happy! And nope, the pain has finally easied this month (fingers crossed it doesn't come back the way it was for the first 3 months! Ack!) Although I am expecting some with the introduction of the elastics at the end of this month :(

Dee, yay! That's awesome!!! And it is amazing :)

(Ugh, the n on my keyboard has decided to die and I have to bash it every time I need to put an "n" in my typing. SO annoying! Do you guys know how many n's you type a day?!?! :P)

Hi Tobelei,
Your pictures look great and the progress is fantastic. Elastics are a bit of a pain. I remember having a terrible time trying to put them on and one time, both my mother and ended up with a black eye each trying to get them in and the configuration right. My ortho found is hilarious, we didn't!

Glad to hear the pain is getting better for you and I hope the elastics won't be too much hassle.

Hi Tobelei,
I sure hope you won't have much trouble or pain once you start wearing your elastics. I'm dreading getting those -- who knows when that little joy is going to come driving down the track.
I have no idea how many "n"s I type in a day but I'm sure it's a lot. It's maddening when something goes wrong with your computer, isn't it?
Ciara,
I really enjoyed your little story about you and your mother and your elastics. Whew! Must've been quite a sight!

Elastics are fun. Just dont let your cat find the bag of them. They could be all over the place.

Just wait until you are in a business meeting and one breaks. There just isn't a graceful way to stick your hand up to your elbow into your mouth to replace an elastic.

Ciara, thanks you! Oh and I'm sorry but that is too funny! My daughter is always telling me how she was speaking in class and a band will just shoot out at the teacher or something (she said she goes on and pretends nothing happened 8) ). I've no doubt I'll have all kinds of fun with them

Dee, haha, laughing at your train track reference :P And I really shouldn't complain. My laptop is about 6 years old and other than the n problem right now has never given me a bit of grief (unlike other computers we've owned that spent most of their lives being threatened to be thrown or dropped from a very great height!). I will be sad when it goes completely :(

OF, thankfully my kitty won't be interested (he's a senior citizen who's not real well so spends most days snoozing on the lounge!). I know how those things seem to breed on their own though. Every time my daughter has them we find them in the most amazing places! And thanks for the image of jamming my entire arm into my gob

Thanks Bikerchick!

Just a bit of an update. I'm 17 days off my next adjustment (this one seems to be coming around quickly, I guess because I'm not looking forward to elastics). Things have been pretty good this month. No major ulcers, no real sore teeth, until 4 days ago when my very back molar (my ortho said it's a wisdom tooth, but I've been told before I didn't get wisdom teeth so I'm confused) decided to start hurting........a LOT. It's the kind of pain that makes your whole jaw hurt :(

I'm pretty sure it's just movement because it also had that clicky feeling for a couple of days and today it's feeling marginally better, but I was starting to get stressed I had an infection or something. Thankfully it doesn't appear to be. I find it so strange though that after a couple of week, teeth that weren't moving before can just suddenly decide to take a trip

I've had a couple of moments where I've decided I'm going to beg my ortho to just stick me with elastics and powerchains and the thickest wires he can find because I want these things off already and a few moments of panic where I feel like if I can't take them off right this minute I might freak out (I suffer anxiety at the best of times so this is no surprise to me, I'm sure it sounds odd to all of you though!).

Otherwise plenty of teeth seem to be moving around and a few gaps have closed. Some so much that I can no longer get floss between some teeth. My pearly coloured ligs are not doing so hot on my chewing side. Turns out raw baby spinach turns them a charming shade of yellow, blech. Looking forward to getting my smoke one's back on, although I am tempted after seeing the forest green the other day I have to confess.

Hi Tobelei,
Sorry to hear you're having pain! Ugh. Terrible. I'm sure it DOES hurt a lot when those molars start to move. Don't despair. It will probably only be for a few more days and then you'll be back to your old cheerful self.
I know what you mean about all the anxiety, though. We've talked about that before. It's terrible. Mine seems to be doing much better since I've been on the SSRIs. Now, if only my teeth would start to cooperate and start moving already!! I don't go back for my next adjustment until April 8th and it can't come soon enough. Not much real soreness for me. Just achiness but mostly in the bottom teeth still for some reason. There are some new gaps down there, though, so I know something is happening! Hang in there, girlfriend! xoxo

You mentioned Smoke colored ligatures. Do you have any photos of those? Curious of that color vs Ivory, vs Clear.

Thanks
