Hey Guys,
I've been lurking on this forum for sometime. It's great to see so many of your stories and the transition your teeth have gone through.
Basically, I'm 23 and have probably wanted braces since forever haha, but never had the confidence to even make that a reality. In fact, my mum tried dragging me to the Ortho to get braces on the NHS, but I was ever so reluctant. Dammit!
Anyway, I have not so good credit already... Yes I know I'm only 23, but went down a few wrong paths during Uni, blaah onwards and upwards!
I would really like to consider Ortho treatment (I live in the UK, so this question is probably more applicable to those in the UK)
but I know payment plans via financing would not go down well - I most definitely wouldn't pass the credit check.
I'd like to consider myself in a much better position now, stable life and job to be able to pay off monthly payments. My question is: Are all payment plans done through finance, or would an Ortho in the UK allow maybe a quarter of the payment then monthly installments?
Thanks guys!
Braces Payment Plan without credit check?

Re: Braces Payment Plan without credit check?
My payment plan is not through a financing company. It is just the orthodontist allowing me the pay off the balance over the course of the treatment.
No checks were carried out to make sure that I could meet the payments. It's more of a customer service thing than a normal financing agreement.
Hope that helps.

Re: Braces Payment Plan without credit check?
My payment plan was arranged with the orthodontist. He offered a reduction for payment up front or payment over 16 months. On the day I got my braces I took a form to the bank to set up a standing order & that was it. My treatment lasted 20 months so I had a few months where I wasn't paying which was good!
Once you have an orthodontist in mind you could probably just phone up and ask about payment, though mine sent info through with my treatment plan.
Good luck.

Mine isn't through financing either. I just pay some off with each appointment

Most of the orthos that I consulted with did financing for their patients so you only paid so much a month.

I am in the UK and my ortho offered a couple of different finance options, none through a credit house. As far as I know, they did no credit check on me.
Good luck

I put 10% down (~$500) and pay per month, for 24 months. No credit check, no outside company.
