I agree, when they gave me my open mouth photos of each angle I was horrified. A straight on- closed mouth photo looks like my teeth are straight so I hated to see all this 'problems' with the ortho pics.Tobilei wrote:They don't look so bad. And I know what you mean. I never thought mine were that bad, then I got the photo's from the ortho's office and was like I think it's because your lips are retracted and the photo is solely of teeth instead of the whole face so you pay attention to just them. Glad things are feeling better for you!

I'm so sorry. Hope you feel better soon. (I fainted after I had a wisdom tooth extracted and 2 fillings done at the same time - low blood pressure, so I have some idea how you are feeling).
Please take care of yourself.
Re: Tomorrow is The Day
I hope today is looking better for you as you continue with your recovery, but I know the first few days postop can be difficult. One more step in the journey completed!

Thank you. Yes, today I am feeling better.
Me too, i was almost fainting after the anesthesia injection! I was too stressed and too scared. But they were kind: they gave me some sugary-juice and waited for me to relax.
And i took a xanax tablet in the morming (it is an anxiolytic). I am not so brave, after all!

Re: Tomorrow is The Day
give it some time... it may take a couple of weeks to notice movement.

Re: Tomorrow is The Day
Hi all.
Yesterday i had the first appointment since the tooth extraction. Everything was fine, so they bracketed also the last molar that side, and said that things now are going to be more effective.
Now, my teeth are going to play "tug of rope" : two molars and a bicuspide must pull the canine back. Will they succeed?
I hope they will.
Otherwise i might need a TAD, and this scares me a little.
I asked how the canine will take to fill the hole left by the biscuspide, and the said six months.
Six months!! It means until Christmas: all the summer, plus my daughter starting to go to school. A lot of time. I have to be patient, which i am not.
