Thanks Sheryl and Welcome!! 

I got my brackets fixed Wednesday and they put some concrete bumpers on my back molars to where I don't bite my brackets anymore with my overbite. I must say it feels a bit odd...They put more concrete on one side than the other, so now only two of my teeth touch and my mouth feels a bit lopsided. This is proving to be quite an interesting journey :)

Two weeks with braces. No new updates really. Brackets seem to be staying in place now. No pain. Eating is getting a lot easier. My husband states it’s my imagination, but I swear my teeth are yellowing a bit.  It kind of stinks not being able to whiten, but I’ll survive.

Glad to hear the brackets are staying where they should and life is returning to normal.

the braces look great on you and your smile is going to be even more fantastic after your finished :)

i always think my teeth are yellowing as well. I have used some oral B new toothpaste that is out, that my ortho has little samples at his office, and it has whitening in it, but i only use it at night just a few times a week to see if it helps. I don't think my teeth are actually going yellow but the light and braces can trick our eyes sometimes! in certain lights my teeth look white, othertimes gross and yellow! I am pretty sure if you brush and do all the other stuf to keep them clean, they will be fine :)

Ughh I feel like my teeth look yellow all the time too! Especially on the sides. But I think it's the shadow of the wire and braces. When I got my wire changed the other day, I remembered to look to see if they looked yellow still and I think they looked a little better but still......

I had my first tightening today. It went really well. I got a thicker wire and POWERCHAINS!! Whoo hoo. Hopefully I’ll be able to say ta-ta to my gaps sometime in the near future! I’m trying to shove all the food I can down into my belly now, since I’m already starting to feel the pressure. I stuck to the same pearl/silver color, and the power chains are clear. I wonder how those will look by my next adjustment in 6 weeks with my tea drinking :D
