Omgosh they are gorgeous!!! Congrats on almost being finished! I envy you!! Your teeth really look amazing! Can't wait to see the final results!! Don't forget some before and after profile shots so everyone can see that not all extractions are bad :)

^ I was only thinking about this the other day actually...my face hasn't changed at all since I've got the braces/extractions. And I was really worried it would! None of the sunken upper mouth stuff people online are always saying. Take no notice of the horror stories you see online! Your ortho knows what they are doing. And this isn't just directed at you..I mean everyone reading!

I will post profile pics when I get them off!


Can't wait to get them off :D

My face hasn't changed either. Of course I'm only 4 months in, but I don't think I'll have any negative facial changes. I do think that sometimes extractions are done when not necessary. But I know I definitely needed them. I can't wait til yours are off either! I love to see others' results! Especially a successful extraction case!

Sectional brace with Damon clear brackets fitted to front 6 upper teeth 3 January 2012
Brackets added to premolars 2 April 2012
Estimated treatment time originally 6-9 months. Brace removed on 22 July 2013 after 18 months and 19 days
Now enjoying bonded upper retainer plus part time essix/hawley( I have both)

Thanks guys!

Got Essix retainers yesterday. I have to wear them for nights plus a few hours in the day for the first few months and then only at night. They are a bit annoying...but will take a while to get used to I'd say! Only day 2 so far!

It's so easy to floss now :o


I'll post my photos from my ortho with profile photos etc when I can get to a scanner!
