Your teeth look amazing - they are white and a nice shape :)

... isn't it wonderful to see the difference, photos are great at keeping the motivation going on the harder days.

I don't have my next adjustment until 2 August (thats 9 weeks between adjustments!) as I am overseas until then :/ Just have to bear with it!!
My lower midline is now way out, and teeth on bottom are crooked - in a different way to what they were previously!

Will follow your updates with interest :-1
aw thanks Timetoshine :) it is so wonderful to see the difference! i look at pics of my teeth to begin with and cannot imagine my teeth like that anymore, ugh how did i live with them like that!? i had to up until now i guess! lol.

Hi Rhibee - late reply - unsure why I don't get notified when someone replies to a post... will have to adjust my settings!

Its a holiday in Bali :) but am taking laptop work with me - easy to do there when everything is about relaxing!
Yes - I have 'ignore my braces' day every week at least... and use my before / after pics to make myself understand why I am doing this. I dislike the look of my braces very much, but know its worth it!

Best wishes!

I just realised I have had my braces for 3 months now! YAY!!! its kinda going fast now haha.

I BIT INTO A HOT DOG ROLL LAST NIGHT haha not the hot dog itsself, but the ROLL!! JUST! haha i had to give it a go and i could bite into it and then tear it away with my bottom teeth mainly lol, it felt SO WEIRD haha. but maybe one day I will get there and i will be able to bite into sandwiches :)

nothing much else, I NEED TO GO ON A DIET. starting today I am eating healthy, i know i continue to say that, but i have too, i have gained tonnes of weight and can't handle it anymore so healthyness here i come lol

I am going to gym tonight but i have buggered my knee, so that is gonna be fun.. sigh...

ugh, bring on home time... :-+ :(

3 months later and I am still ripping my food up and biting on the back teeth lol. I think if i keep trying i might be able to get used to biting into things, it just feels so weird, like my teeth are gonna fall out! lol!

You should ask if the molar bands are absolutely necessary for your treatment. If not then you won't need separators which I also hear are painful. I got my top ceramic braces put on so far but no bands. Instead I have brackets on by back molars with the a loop for the wire so I didn't need separators. I was so relieved when my Doc said "we don't do that anymore" as if it was an old practice but I have also read that in some cases they are used as they have a better grip so it all depends on your treatment plan and how aggressive it will be. BTW, I'm glad I got ceramic even though they tried to talk me out of it.

The reason why you need to see your Doc again is cause he's gonna go over everything again with you, talk about the braces you want, and maybe explain some other things such as that extractions of teeth will change your profile.

Being anxious is normal, I felt the same way. All I wanted was for the braces to be on in fact I was disappointed to hear that I had to wait 2 months for the bottom ones. The next day I wanted to yank them off because they are so sharp they are ripping the inside of my lip.

NOTE: make sure that you get braces with wounded edges. I made the mistake of not researching this beforehand.

So its been a while since I posted on here lol

I just wanted to quickly say that I am having my 3rd adjustment tomorrow! I am going to get Teal colour ligs!

I must admit, my teeth are feeling and looking fantastic, sorry to blow my own trumpet, but i have never been able to say that before. I went to a friends house on the weekend and we took some pics and I was smiling and I looked at them yesterday and thought wow!! My teeth are looking good hehe.

I will post a pic tomorrow of my Teal ligs  :jump:

Apologies for not being around, just been doing other things... will try and get on more often!
