Hi
Has anyone started treatment with a back bite that was not good? What problem with your back teeth bite did you have and what treatment plan was given to correct it?

Re: Back bite
A poor bite can be caused by a very large number of different problems, and any answers you get will be all over the map and not really of much use. Some poor bites require nothing more than a short course of Invisilign, all the way to others requiriring double-jaw surgery. If you do a consult with an orthodontist, he/she can at least give you a more precise diagnosis and you can relay that here to get more useful answers.
Re: Back bite
I agree. I really think it makes a difference from person to person depending on what your issues are.
I'm in braces for the purpose of establishing a new bite to address some tmjd issues. I got my uppers on first and 11 months got my lowers when my upper arch was in position. It has now been 2 years. I have worn elastics on my molars for much of the treatment to help pull my bite together. I also wore some other configurations of elastics throughout my treatment. The elastics also helped 'erupt' a few of my teeth to encourage a better bite as well.
