I am really interested to read your current posts about the front lower teeth rising up, as this has happened to me, and I want to know when and how they fix it during the process. Like you, I didn't start with it, but it has developed over the course of treatment. Will be watching what happens in your treatment plan with interest :) thanks for sharing!!

Well I had my 3 adjustment today. It was interesting...
They went to increase the bottom wire, and the Dr. was trying to force the wire into the brackets of the still rotated lower incisors. Well needless to say- the bracket popped off! The Dr. of course had to re-glue the bracket on, and then went all the way down to practically a starter wire on the bottom.. <sigh>... I keep hoping for progress on those teeth- and it just keeps taking forever! I did see some progress in the last 4 weeks with the .16 (?) wire that was on the bottom- but now I am back down to a .14 (?)....
I have to go back in 6 weeks to get a wire change. Lets hope SOMETHING is happening during that time to allow a bigger/stronger wire to be put on..
I am anxious to get the party started for the bite correction. I can't wait to get rid of the molar build ups!
sigh....

Orthodontics certainly isn't for the inpatient! Sorry to hear you have gone down a wire size but maybe this will help your teeth move into a position where the stronger wires can be more effective. I noticed far more changes with the light wires than the heavier ones I'm in now so hope this doesn't set you back.

Well it is 9 months today that I have had my braces. While it has been an interesting journey, I still don't regret my decision (most days).
I am finally in a reverse curve wire on the bottom. only took 8.5 months.... :/
I still have 1 overlapping tooth on the bottom. Who knows when it will straighten out? Not I. (red circle in pic)
I don't really see any progress in the reverse curve wire on the bottom, but I think I can feel a very slight change in my bite. It seems that my bite moves all over the place almost daily. It is hard to find a comfortable way to bite. Some days the brackets on one side are rubbing, the next day it could be all or none....
I have learned tho- that when brackets start bugging me- it means that those teeth have moved a bit and now the brackets are in a new spot... so rubbing.... I guess that means progress... even tho I dread when they are rubbing.. I always need soooooo much wax. Even 9 months in I still use wax.
I am going to post a pic- so I can compare from day 1 to day 273.

Hi JeniK!
Yes the time has flown by. I am seeing progress.. but slowly. Today I got rubberbands.... :? not sure if I am excited about that or not... so far they are more fun to play with by stretching and closing my mouth.. hahah...
My grandbaby is now 9 months old! He is super cute and I enjoy him lots. Wow on grand baby #7!!!! That is amazing :) I am sure you enjoy yours that much more... all the more to spread the love with :)

Where has the time gone?! I have had my braces for a year already! Last appt I had some brackets rearranged. With the changes I had to go to a lighter wire. I go next week for next adjustment.
Appt before last, I was told I am more then half way.
Hope all is well Kids041.

JeniK! HI yes it has been 13 months already. I don't know that I am halfway or not :/ my ortho is not good at communicating those sort of things.
I do go for some IPR today. That will be nice to help this monster of a black triangle that I have going on on my lower arch. I hope that it works to reduce it some at least. The ortho says that it will not all go away, since I have the space where my tooth used to overlap another tooth, I guess the gums did not develop there, and now never will :/
Oh well anything is better then what is there..
I will post pics after my apt today so I can track the progress...
here is a before the IPR
