What's next after x rays?

Hi all,

After 2 yrs in braces my ortho is requesting an x ray but didn't mention debanding. What is the usual procedure? Do we debanding if all the x rays look good or usually they still need to tweak a bit after the next x ray appointment?

Anyone that went through this could please share their experience?

Sounds like you are near the end. Your Dr. wants to check to make sure everything is aligned, not just on the surface! You may have to wear braces a little longer depending if finds more to improve or if you teeth need more of a settling period. Every time you get adjusted the teeth need time to settle in their place. Retainers after help after the braces are no longer holding everything together! Otherwise your teeth would go back to before. I had an upper clear retainer and even after 5 years I still had to wear it at least once a week. If I didn't my teeth would shift just enough to make my mouth sore making them go back in mold. Hang in there!
