Waterpik!
Seriously, changed my life. Flossing braces is SUCH a nightmare, but the Waterpik is tons easier and my hygenist was impressed last time I went.

But yeah, even so I've lost weight. Less snacking, more mindful eating, less crunchy fried food...

I'm amazed how much extra muck the waterpik gets out after brushing.

For me swishing plus a pikster alone seems to get the bits of food out (except for unbraced wisdoms, which require floss). So don't quite get the waterpik thing. Although my teeth are not crowded.

I think I'm just too lazy to use floss threaders with my braces, so the Waterpik makes it all much quicker.
I also have linguals rather than normal braces, which I think are harder to floss. (I had conventional fixed braces as a teenager.) There's more metal work and you can't really see properly to figure out what you're doing.
Plus, I'm lazy
