Poll: At What Age Did You Get Your Braces?

I am 55 and scheduled on Jan 30th. I am however getting 2 other consults to make sure I am making the right choice.

I had some orthodontic work as a kid, and do I ever wish I hadn't been so stubborn and followed through with the treatment. Or I wish I would have gotten this over and done with in my early twenties, even if I couldn't afford it. I'm 27 now and I've been in braces for about 7 months.

I turned 24 yrs old few month ago. I am gonna get braced next month! :D Can't wait for the journey to begin! I'm going for traditional ceramics with colored bands.

I had always wanted to close my gap in my 2 front teeth and my bugs teeth since i was 13. I was so afraid to pluck out 4 tooth just to get braces so I didn't do it. But now that i had 4 wisdom tooth out and 2 upper teeth, it was nothing... I really wished I did it back then. But I am sure I won't regret and it's not too late! :D

I am male 37 year and got braces in December. I wish i knew about this before as I am coming from other country. But its not too late as long as it can provide result

I'm 27 now....if all goes according to plan I should be getting them off RIGHT before turning 30. Can't wait to start my 30's with a beautiful smile!!

To all of those who had braces as a teen but didn't follow through...will you get your kids braces? Or is it better to wait?

Just got them last week after turning 39... Pretty crazy, never thought I would be getting them...

Got them on at 23. Going to have underbite surgery in the near future.
I was really self-conscious about them at first, and felt like I was too old for braces (sometimes I still do) cos I don't know many other people in my age group with braces. But now I'm getting more comfortable with them, pretty chuffed with how straight they're becoming.

i had a brace when i was about 13-ish? (it was a fairly long time ago and i don't exactly remember...)
for about a year, younger brother broke brace (accidentally.....) when taken out to eat.

i don't remember the how's and why's but i wasn't taken back to the dentist for a new brace.
by the time i thought about having it done myself in my late teens, it was quite a long treatment time and hideously expensive.

now aged 46 i've been tempted by the short treatment time and reasonable costs of having a cfast brace.
i still can't quite believe after all these years i'll hopefully get teeth straight enough to smile with confidence,
and not cover my mouth or try to avoid smiling altogether.
