Aww thank you everyone! I still can't believe it happened today!
Plugnickle, I decided against the upper bonded retainer as my Ortho advised against it. She knows I will be a diligent retainer wearer so I am just getting the lower. I will not get it until after my bonding appointment, though. They are going to make me a new essix retainer free of charge after the install the lower bonded retainer.
These essix retainers suck by the way. They are so thick! I can't wait to get my vivera's made!

Thank you, Anna that's so sweet of you to say! I'm so used to having braces that I still smile at people with my lips closed. I need to work on that! LoL! I feel like my teeth look unreal.. Like they aren't mine. And you know, every little thing I was picking at before I got them off hardly bothers me now. I really think you'll be so pleased with your smile when yours come off, Anna, that you won't even think about surgery! I'm so happy I did this. It was definitely money well spent! And I definitely want to share with you on the day my braces will come off.... (I don't have a date yet, I guess it will be in a couple of months). I hope you are right, that on that day I will be as happy as you are now! You have all reason to be very happy. I honestly think your teeth weren't bad at all before, but now they are really perfect! I am sure you can't stop smiling!

Congrats, they look great! You got braces only 5 days after I did (I got mine on December 6, 2012) so I am HOPING that at my appointment next Friday, I will be given a deband date, although I'm predicting I will get that date in August: at the last appointment, he said that I will be getting some lingual-button-elastic thingy - no clue as to what that will or is supposed to do.

Did you get Hawley retainers, too? I need to have Hawleys at first because I will need 8 crowns on my upper jaw so obviously an Essix won't work with that. I think I will prefer Hawleys because I like to drink colored drinks/sodas too often and I don't want to have to remove the Essix retainers every time I do this!
