Hi All - First post here. I got my upper lingual braces put on yesterday, and I can see the metal through my two front teeth in areas where the enamel is wore down. It looks like I have metal fillings in my teeth, which to me is worse than having clear braces. Has anyone else had this problem and been able to use Lumineers or some type of temporary dental bonding to correct it?
On a positive note, the pain is very tolerable. My tongue feels OK. I'm eating soft foods, smoothies and soup because my teeth do hurt when I chew, which I think is standard for any type of braces initially.

Re: Lingual braces visible through thin teeth
I was able to see the metal a bit through my teeth when I first got my lingual braces, but at this point I seriously don't notice it. I even try to see it sometimes, and can't. I think that I will just be extra stoked about how white my teeth look when I get the braces off!
Unless it is really, really, really noticeable, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Re: Lingual braces visible through thin teeth
I think my front teeth look a slightly funny colour with my linguals on (sort of grey/white instead of the normal yellow/white of teeth) but lots of other people have commented how white my teeth look...!
Fairly sure no-one else notices/cares

We always tend to notice things on ourselvesthat oothers probably don't even see at all

I didn't experience this. It may not be the best time to have veneers put on during active orthodontic treatment.

Is that 'thin' as in the braces can be seen between the gaps in the teeth, or 'thin' as in the braces can be seen through the enamel of the teeth?

Thin as in the braces can be seen through the enamel of the teeth. I eventually got used to it and it's not really noticeable to anyone but me.
