How lucky am I

#1 Post by NeilH »

Whilst working away a few days ago, I went out for a curry with some colleagues without thinking about the consequences. On getting back to the hotel I was horrified to see all my powerchains badly stained and couldn't believe how stupid I had been as I had spent the last 18 months avoiding red wine, tomato sauces and other highly coloured foods. I'm working away again next week and will be travelling overseas for meetings and presentations and really didn't want to be seen in public looking this way.

I called my orthodontist but despite being offered an appointment the same day couldn't make it as I was still working away. Their office is usually closed on a Friday (the only day I could make before heading away again) but to my complete surprise, one of the staff offered to come in on her day off to change the elastics for me. How fantastic is that! I went in earlier today and all is now restored back to normal. To say that I'm absolutely delighted would be an understatement.

If you didn't take them cookies or cupcakes or something then you sir, are a cad!!

Always bribe and reward the assisstants!! They are the last people you want to piss off. (okay, suppose the Ortho would be worse)

That is so great!

I've never had curry before--but this board is making me want to try it. People here talk about it all the time!!

Nice!! I just did a really similar thing to my powerchain (minus the getting it changed part.) Apparently 2 pumpkin spice lattes in 2 days (atleast McDonalds ones) will turn your powerchain a nice gold color also! I was surprised... I've been wearing clear on top since May and never changed it that bad!

ah, your dentist is wonderful, just like mine! I had my powerchain put on days before I was supposed to travel because my teeth were separating and looked funky. Once it went on, bingo, teeth back together again.

Curry is delish! Try some Thai Coconut Curry Soup for starters!

You know, I don't deny myself anything really. I eat curry whenever I want, red wine (the good stuff is not supposed to stain your teeth anyway, wink wink), tomato sauce, etc and really don't care if I get stained. I only care if I have a really important event to go to, then I'll sort of monitor my eating behavior. Normally though, eh, life is too short! Enjoy!

Staining is a pain!! I didn't think it would bother me but they make you look like your teeth are yellow, or orange, or red= not fun. What a great office staff you have!!
