How will it work though now, will they cancel the person AFTER me and give me their slot? or like will they cancel everyone they have booked in and rearrange everyone, the lady doctor who i saw today said i will be put back at the top, (I should think so) I feel a little guilty thinking they should cancel the next person and give me their slot and then give the next person after them, their slot (if you get me)
they do jaw surgies on monday or tuesday so MAYBE we will be surgery buddies though I highly doubt it.

Took me so long to get there i was well tired on the bus, it went ok, a nurse took some swabs, although she just stuck her swap at the side of my nickers and didnt let me do it myself!!!!!!! when she took my bloods she moved my arm an the needle seriously hurt and my blood went eveywhere, I am seriously doubting the competence of these people, the max fax doctor then took my weight height blood pressure etc, talked me through made me sign things etc etc then i went home!!!

Hmm I guess if you've been put back to the top of the list then you're the highest priority again (unless another emergency comes in)? I must say I have no idea how they work it out but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that they don't make you wait too long.

Not surprised you were tired, that was an early start!!

Work has been so crazy the last few days that I haven't had much time to think about it... which is probably a good thing lol. Last day tomorrow until next year!

Hey!! glimmer of hope today, I was feeling kinda fed up so i thought id annoy some people by chasing things up see if another booking had been made.
A lovely lady answered and said she has been trying to get hold of me, she was very sympathetic and said to me that she understands and that there was a few booked in for that day, she said that the surgeon is willing to come on saturday 13th decemember and do the ones he was gonna do monday, they are just seeing if they can get any theater staff to help out and that she will let me know on monday to see if it can happen, best possible thing i can ask for, im probably being abit silly being so worried but i want it over with asap lol!

how are you feeling today? last day of work!!! least now you can have a long weekend.

Thank you Beebop! How is your recovery going - are you pretty much back to normal now? I see you're from the UK too, do you mind me asking where you had your surgery?

oimysizex that's awesome news!! I so hope that they can all make it in so you can have it done then. You're not being silly at all, I'd say it's only natural to want it over and done with!

Last day of work yesterday! Was so busy getting everything sorted before my time off. The office is moving too while I'm away lol so I had to get my desk packed in preparation. It'll be weird when I go back in January cos it'll be to a completely new place. And I'll have a new face too! Everything's feeling very strange.

Recovery wasn't too bad gutsygumshoe, as I said it (not I ) won't be as bad as you think - I spent 3.5 days in hospital and then went home, stayed 3 nights. Much better off at home, easier to sleep and rest and you can please yourself. First 2 weeks were tough but manageable, make sure you have a blender and lots of fruit and milk for shakes and smoothies. I was banded for 3 weeks and then had my bands and splint taken out. From there cottage pie and stuff like that is good.

Hospital will give you meds and calorie shakes to see you through. If you pay for your prescriptions, I recommend getting an nhs pre paid card, £30 for three months, will save you a fortune for extra meds and shakes.

hello gutsygumhoe, sorry to hear you're feeling bad, only 2 days to go now, it will soon be all out of the way, im feeling a little anxious as to when im going to get my next admission date, ive told work about saturday they said it was ok. I hope i can have my surgery saturday I can't wait much longer, mad to think that id be in bed worrying about tomorrow now, I am little sad.

what have you been eating? nice solid foods? haha.

I actually haven't been eating that much - I'm too nervous so I can't really face anything. Silly isn't it!! Bet I'm gonna be kicking myself in a few days' time haha!

I don't have everything packed yet but I've started putting it all together. Not looking forward to getting up at arse o'clock tomorrow morning but then again I'm not expecting to sleep that well either.

hahhaha youll be sick of soup by day.... 2 haha!!! which soup was it?!
I just feel really fed up, waited all this time and then my date was cruely ripped away haha!! I haven't tried phoning no, I am annoyed that they said they would call me today and I've waited in all day and they haven't bothered!!
I will be on the phone tomorrow though if they don't phone back or have a letter in the post!

what time are you getting up tomorrow then?
