Going back to the ortho today, getting a hook fixed and some wires snipped, and to talk to them about these lingual molar buttons that cut up my tongue like Paul Bunyan

Sorry your tongue is getting destroyed. When I first got my braces my tongue was cut from the lingual bumps/metal things my molar bands. Drove me crazy. It got better after a while. I'm sure eventually your mouth will get used to them. Hopefully they can tell you what they're for. Good luck today! And congrats on getting them on! :D

I've already gotten used to them, just pisses me off that it was so badly I couldn't even speak. I told the girl today about it and she just said im so sorry, those are usually what will cut up your tongue. But thank you for the congrats and the kind wishes!

Well I am into the void, my next appointment is in May. I would love to post pictures but I am too lazy to get around to it, especially when I want to do it. I hope all is well with everyone in the community~!

God bless! Good luck with it!!! Rebracing definitely sucks but I am already back into the swing of things. I think having them prior really allowed for me to become accustomed to feelings a bit quicker than some do.

I'm 23 and about to have braces... keep your chin up, it'll be worth it in the end.. Atleast we'll have amazing smiles :)

Also, the amount of progress that has already been made is astounding. I am almost positive I will be out of these things in a years time, screw 18 months.

Just luck I suppose, no one even knows I have braces because of how high up they are on my teeth

So it's been over a month since I had these puppies put on, time really does fly. No one even notices them, and those who do haven't said anything! I wish I wasn't being such a baby before I had them put back on lol, would've saved me a lot of stress.
