i'm going in tomorrow for my 2nd adjustment. I am so anxious for this to be over with. I am used to my braces now, and I am not worried about my appearance anymore because my top teeth are coming together which i think enhances the way i look, even with braces. :)

i'm off to my apartment for college 2.5 hours away on monday . i will have to drive home once a month for these braces.

It depends on how high up they are.... if they are high, it takes longer to come down. It doesn't hurt bringing them down, just feels very tight after an adjustment to the chains.... then that wears off after a few days.

I also have impacted teeth, their cuspids actually but I just wanted to wish you luck with your journey. For me the tightenings after the surgery were quite painful. They still are.
It has been almost 6 months since the surgery and one tooth is about halfway down with a bracket but the other one is still inviisble. I think mine were just really far up into the roof of my mouth.
Good luck and hope you feel better! :pinkbraces:

Cari, how are the canines coming in? Any sign of them yet, or just the shiny gold chains still?
