I jus sank my my teeth and braces into a sweet and savory corn on the cob. Though it was delicious, very little actually went to my stomach. Most were piled on top of each other on top of the braces. Cleaning, brushing, and flossing was  .

Since I got my braces off now, it makes it harder to sin. But I do occasionally eat with my clear retainer in.

I dunno. Does removing a TAD/MSI count as anything? I had to use tweezers, sewing needle, and a hemostat. Happened a few times.

Now I do remember 20 years ago, 1st time in treatment, I really wanted a lip bumper, bc every kid then had lip bumpers and bite plates so I tried making one out of a paperclip LOL.

I also remember 20 years ago using a hemostat and taking off my upper ligatures and reordering the color because they did it wrong HAHA.

Otherwise, I think I should probably be taking better care of my body? This has not been the easiest journey... many times I have skipped eating because I did not want to deal with the 25 freakin minute long brigade of pre rinsing, proxabrushing, water flossing, brushing, flossing, and rinsing. On the bright side I always clean my contacts and wash my face a little more diligently than I used to lol.

I am kinda laughing a ton over here though with u guys doubling up on your elastics. Its kinda giving me evil ideas..and is something I totally would have done in the past...but I think since they are prescribed...unless I was dealing with a complete idiot dr...why would I even consider it? Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. And although I am great with physics, what I may think is the right thing may in fact screw up something else, so no thanks lol.

When i take elastics out to eat I regularly forget to pick them up from wherever i've left them. Huge apologies to anyone out there who has found them and had to clean up after me...

At one of my early orthodontic appointments I was specifically told that I should avoid fizzy drinks like 'Irun Bru' (those not in the UK probably don't know this drink- think Mountain Dew on E number steroids), and sweets such as 'fudge bars' (again for those non-UK based readers these are chewy as hell).

As soon as I left the appointment I went straight to the nearest shop and bought 3 bottles of Irun Bru and a shovel full of fudge bars.... :-9

Christmas was just... we don't want to talk about it.

I guzzled red wine, I ate so much chocolate I physically can't eat any more at the moment, I've gone off it. I ate so much curry that my braces are now a lovely shade of brown. Bad, I was bad. I sinned... oh boy I sinned.

I have an adjustment today so yay for clean, shiny braces. My new years resolution was to not be such an orthodontic sinner! So far so good :D

I am an all day snacker and do not brush my teeth after each snack but I hopefully redeem myself by brushing after every meal. I need to switch to healthier snack.
2-year sentence of clear top and bottom braces commencing March 23, 2016
November 2016 - Class III elastics (starts from the bottom canine and goes to the upper 1st molar) on both sides
December 2016 - Two front teeth filed (IPR?) to make space to close black triangle and a power chain; 4 front bottom ceramic brackets replaced with metal brackets to force the teeth straighter; 1 broken bottom molar bracket (courtesy of a Tootsie Roll craving);

Love reading everyone's sins ha I thought it was only me that had been sinful, you're all making me feel much better!

I drink tea and coffee still - at least 4 cups per day, my colleague told me that the heat from hot drinks will be good for activating my wire so this is my excuse!
I use whitening toothpaste
I only brush twice a day - once in the morning and then before bed
I have only just begun flossing at week 9 of having braces
I still eat everything I did pre braces - except for chewing gum, which I experimented with yesterday but because of my bite turbos preventing my teeth from touching this was not fun
I play with my braces far too much
The other day I was late for work and I used having braces as an excuse - well brushing does take longer now don't you know! :x  8)

That is brilliant. What was the reaction?

How is this for the ultimate sin. I am going to a different ortho to have a retainer replaced since it will be about half the cost for the same type.
