11 month progress pictures

Hi all. Just thought I would post a few progress pictures. I had a severe open bite, significant over-jet, crowding, and narrow upper. You can definitely visualize the anterior retraction and widening with my NiTi expander that my ortho was able to achieve. I'm very happy with the progress so far but there's still a great deal of work to be accomplished.

Here's a side view of the retraction, over-jet correction, and open bite closure. Mainly power chains, metal ties, and various wire bends were used to achieve this result.

I'm a new member and I cannot see the pictures for now, I wish I could check them. I have a severe 6mm open bite with some crowding and a light cross bite.
I'm looking for *THAT* ortho who has experience with TADS or anything that is not a surgery. I feels good to see that some people in a similar situation are able to get great results.

Is that a tongue habit appliance I see in there? Or just a TPA or palate expander? Watch out for the tongue habit appliances that are attached to molars. They can cause issues in certain cases.

What is the cause of your open bite? Do you have any issues with tongue posture? Mouth breathing? Enlarged tonsils/adenoids?
