Re: Inman aligners
They look amazing Claire. I wasn't sent anything before fitting. When I went in to have it fitted he had a model I could hold and feel there of what my teeth would look like after the Inman aligner was done and I couldn't believe the difference so obviously went straight ahead with it.
Yas I had consultation where he did impressions and then I had my aligner fitter exactly two weeks later but my dentist made time to see me for it as he is usually at lease a 3 week wait for a simple filling.

Hi all,
Just got back from the dentist again. I go every 2 weeks. I get my retainer bar on Tuesday! He fitted me for it today. Hopefully it will arrive in time, if not I have to wait an extra week but that's okay. After that's in he's going to shape a couple of teeth to make them more symmetrical. Then he's going to fit me for the night time retainer and the zoom whitening. So only got a couple of weeks left. Ive added some pics again. I'll add final pics right at the end but I'm 98% there now. So happy with the results. Looked dreadful before!

Wow they look fantastic. I can't believe you have got that result in only 11 weeks. I was told between 3-6 months for my teeth which in fairness are pretty horrendous but fingers crossed aren't 6 months to do.
Can I ask if you ever tightened yours early? I have been told to turn mine once a week which will be tomorrow but I am worried that if i do it tomorrow night I am going to wake up Friday morning with them really painful again like they were at the start and I have to work Friday and Saturday night for 12 hour shifts and don't want to be in major discomfort so was wondering if it would hurt to turn it tonight instead so that I have all tomorrow to get used to it and Friday day before going to work at 9pm. I was told I can only turn the key when I am going to wear it solid for 12 hours so had to be done before bed.

Re: Inman aligners
I always turn mine before bed as that way you sleep on it and by morning it doesn't feel as tight. No harm in turning it a day early but just try to stick to 7 days inveterate each as u have a maximum amount of times u can turn it and u will go through them more quickly if u keep doing it early.
Maybe turn it just half of 1 turn tonight and then half again in a couple of days. You don't have to do a full turn all at once. U can split it in to 2
Don't worry about the pain. At the moment your teeth aren't wobbly at all. And the pressure is trying to shove them in to position. As soon as u have worn it for a few weeks and turned the key a few times things will get looser and it won't hurt at all when u turn it. it will feel tight for around an hour and then u will be fine. Your teeth will have been in shock on week 1 xx

Re: Inman aligners
If there isn't any additional pain turning it I will just stick to the set days which is every Thursday. Thought it would be like when you have a brace as a teenager and it gets tightened the pain is horrendous for a good few days then settles down again. I still have pain taking it on and off but after a minute or so that goes and I get the numb feeling which is fine as doesn't hurt. Rather just do one turn a week rather than two a week in case I forget one x

Ah Becki your teeth look AMAZING!! Mine don't seem to have moved at all the past few weeks! xx
Re: Inman aligners
Hi, for some reason I have not got permission to see any pics again. It may be because I've not posted for a couple of days.
Re: Inman aligners
I've just seen them, looks good. The model pictures are geeat way to help you decide.
I am looking forward to the consultation. I am hoping to get my bottom teeth done but I have one tooth that is slightly wonky on my top arch. I'm not what he will recommend for that.

Re: Inman aligners
I have just tightened my aligner and wanted to check I have done it right. I used the hole nearest the bottom and followed the Arrow up to the very top so it turned as much as it could. Is that a full turn or half turn as the screw only technically turned half way round the aligner as you can't turn it in one full circle x

Re: Inman aligners
You need to put the thing in the hole and follow the arrow. I put mine in at the top and drag it to the front. So towards the bit that sits on your front teeth. Not towards the bits that are at the back of your mouth.
Re: Inman aligners
Yes the hole was in the back and followed the arrow to the front of it all in one motion until it wouldn't turn any further.Doesn't feel much different yet apart from when I first put it in there was a little bit more pressure but after a minute or so it went back to normal feeling.x
