Inman aligners

Re: Inman aligners
He does seem very busy! He said I should be done for my sisters wedding early August if I have impression in two weeks. But when j went to make appointments the earliest was mid May. Doesn't help that I can only go after work times. But I think il be waiting a long time between apps which will prolong it. But it's defo a good sign if lots of people are going!

The ipr doesn't hurt or anything. It's just a bit uncumfortable. BTW, the inman does work for crossed over teeth. Seen loads of pics where it's worked for cases like that online. X
Re: Inman aligners
i keep looking and trying to find pics that are similar to mine but haven't seen any so far. Glad there are some. When they say 6-18 weeks I thought it seemed to good to be true, good to hear your treatments have been done so quickly. Sounds like it well worth the pain and embarrassment in the end :)
Re: Inman aligners
Wow your teeth both look amazing!!! Must be very pleased. Mine are far worse than any of yours to begin with because they're crossed. But even if it takes a little longer than yours il still be very happy if I get results as good. Thanks for pics an all the info!!

Hmphhhh. No I'm not. I was suppose to go last week for the retainer bar but the lab couldn't get it ready in time for the appt. So getting that this Thursday. Then the night time retainer next week. Then the whitening.

No I'm not done yet, I'm back next Tuesday fur what he thought would be my last appointment to get impressions for my fixed retainer but I'm just not sure I'll be done by then. My two front teeth are still not in line. I'm not sure if one has to go back or if the other one has to come forward. They haven't budged for weeks so can't see them moving too much in the next week maybe he will do more filing. Either way I am still really happy just want it to be done now! Nearly there! xx

Re: Inman aligners
You know what, my two front teeth look straight but when I touch them they are slightly off. The dentist seems to think they are in their final positions now and won't move any further. Ive worn it for the last week hoping for a bit more movement but I haven't got any.
I don't know if u have had this problem. But, the two teeth next to my front teeth were pushed back right at the beginning. One more so than the other. The tooth which was further back has had to have more room created to get it to come all the way forward. I was worried that as it needed more room it might have pushed my front two teeth slightly off centre. The dentist said this wouldn't happen. And it has! I'm really disappointed about it. You can't tell really, but it's all I'm noticing at the moment have u had that problem? X x

Hmmm how strange. I don't think I've had that problem I think with me it's the tooth that stuck out the most hasn't been given enough room to push back. Imagine if the reason is because we tightened once too many times back on week 1 ha! I'd be fuming with myself! I'm sure we will get sorted. I'm not letting him finish the treatment until my teeth are exactly like the mould that I was given ha xx

I've also started really worrying about relapse. When I take my brace out for a few hours it's so tight getting it back in where my teeth must have moved so much in the space of a few hours! Just not sure that little thin retainer will be strong enough to hold them in place forever xx

Re: Inman aligners
I've had the same conversation with with my dentist about relapse. It isn't so much the front of the brace which is tight when I put it back it, it's the back where my jaw has expanded. He told me that it takes 2 weeks for the night retainer to come back from the lab. I told him I was worried that this was too long and he rang up for me and they can do it in a week instead. I asked if the bonded wires are different thicknesses and he said no. Apparently, the vital bit is that the glue is put in the right places. I know that we can't put the inman back in when the bonded wire is in place as it will damage the wire. He told me I could pull the back detachable spring out then nothing is pushing from the back, and Wear the inman like that. Still worry about everything moving though xx

Re: Inman aligners
So will you not carry on wearing the Inman aligner for the 2 weeks whilst your waiting for the retainer?? Surely that won't do any harm?

Re: Inman aligners
Apparently you can't wear the inman as soon as the bonded retainers in as it damages it. I'm definitely going to remove the springy bit that rests behind my teeth, and still wear it. I just don't want the bedtime retainer to come back and not fit! I've read online that the bonded retainer is enough to keep everything in place so we shouldn't be worrying this much! Can't help it! Re: Inman aligners
Ah I see what you mean now, are you getting both retainers? I get the choice of one or the other. I might pay extra to get both think it's around £400 or so. It is worrying but as you say I'm sure we'll be fine xx

Re: Inman aligners
I'm sure it's only a couple hundred to get the night time one too. Mine was included but I really do think it would be a good idea to get both! Better to pay a bit extra now and hopefully have permanent results. X x
