Foods that stain clear ligatures?

#1 Post by Rose3356 »

So I just got a clear powerchains put on, I was wondering if anyone had any tips as to which foods/drinks to avoid and how to prevent it turning yellow? Thanks!

I am a coffee drinker. I purchased straws that are meant to be used for hot liquids. This helped big time in keeping the power chains looking cleaner longer. They will yellow anyway In between appointments until you get them changed. I have heard curry will stain really bad so avoid that. Good luck!

I have learnt the hard way that tomato based sauces stain the power chains a horrible almost neon green colour!

As well as the usual (curry, coffee, red wine, tomatoes, blueberries, etc.), beware of chocolate! No one warned me about that! Make sure you use mouthwash straight afterwards and brush as soon as you can.
