Broken bracket :(

Broken bracket :(
I am coming to an end of my braces journey, as my ortho said around 2 more appointments and I should be finished. I am so excited but after that appointment I broke a bracket the same day and came back a week later to get it fixed. It broke again and I went there the next day (because he's only there for Monday's and Tuesday's), he decided to leave it without the bracket and just cut the wire, since it's the lower right last tooth it wouldn't affect the process much. I went on with my normal life and broke ANOTHER one which was the same tooth on the other side (lower left). I am really scared to make another appointment next week again and get it checked as I feel so bad and that he will be annoyed with me (even though he's so nice and barley ever says anything). It's mostly the assistants who say things. I just feel like I'm doing such a bad job taking care of it especially since I'm so near the end. Idk if it will affect my teeth at all, since it's the last bracket all the way at the back. So should I make an appointment next week or would it be okay to just have him check it out at my next appointment in about a month?
Re: Broken bracket :(
Definitely make an appointment for next week. Did the bracket physically break or did it just debond from the tooth? You seem like a very nice person but if the techs are disrespectful perhaps they need an ear-full, or at least mention their behavior to the ortho, privately. Braces are quite the adventure, aren't they? Best of luck to you.

Re: Broken bracket :(
Oh goodness, sorry you're having so many problems with your brackets! And I know how you feel too, I remember feeling the exact same way! I also am at the end of treatment, and had to go back for an adjustment just a few days after the previous one due to a new issue popping up. I thought my ortho would be so annoyed and frustrated with me! But I was very wrong. He was absolutely pleasant and happy, made the adjustment, and told me to make sure to come back in if anything else happened. Your ortho shouldn't have any problem fixing your brackets, that's his job!
At least give em a call and see what they'd like you to do. You may also ask if your ortho could give you some bumpers to put on those back brackets (little squishy pad things that fit over the bracket like a ligature) I got some before when I was biting on some of my lower brackets, not sure if every ortho carries them though.
Best of luck to you!
