Thank-you all so much for the kind comments, it's really great to hear so much positivity and that all of you think this treatment was worthwhile in the end.

Thankfully my journey has now come to an end, and I'm now officially brace free!!

Skeletal open bite (long face)
Self-ligating braces installed 3 Nov 2015.
Double jaw surgery 17 Jan 2017.
Upper jaw expanded and moved up and forward 2 mm. Mandible moved forward 6 mm.

You've got a knockout smile! Huge kudos to you for enduring 9 years. My youngest son is just older than that. I can't even imagine!
Braces for 18 months/4 days.

WOW!!!! Congratulations!! You must be through the roof with excitement! 9 years and surgery must have been a lot to endure but your end results seem to have made it all worth while :) FANTASTIC!!

Upper 2nd premolars extracted May 1st, 2015
First Powerchain and Class II Manatee Elastics June 15th, 2015
TADs placed July 27th, 2015
Box Manatee Elastics April 1st, 2016
Teeth shaping May 4th, 2016

That is amazing! You deserve an award for 9 years of braces, let alone surgery! Looks great! What type of retainers did you go with

Amazing results, and it must also feel amazing to be done with a 9 year treatment, even 1 year feels like an eternity, and still 1 year to go for me.
Lots of crimes here

1. The upper molars bite too far ahead of the lower molars

2. Missing teeth #s 9, 14, and, 29

3. Open bite

4. Upper midline left of center

5. Lower midline right of center

6. Upper and lower teeth not straight

Sentence - 24 months, turned to 27 month.

Braces removed since 11/06/17
