Bite adjusting

#1 Post by Ph445 »

So I posted a few weeks ago about my bite ramp giving me discomfort, fortunately today my ortho took them off as my teeth had shifted to the point where they weren't going to knock off my bottom brackets. The lisp isn't an issue anymore, but one thing I have noticed is my bite has shifted and when I bite down only the right side touches, if a bite down hard then the left side does. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it just the process of my teeth shifting? I'm only two months into treatment so the end product will probably be much different.

I think it's normal; many of us have reported major issues with our bite as the braces did their magic. It can be a challenge. Best of luck to you!

Completely normal, its a process and your bite will likely change many times throughtout treatment, and it might not all be linear progress (meaning sometimes things may get worse at first, but they will improve again later on).

With my treatment at first a few teeth started moving and then my crossbite was fixed in just a couple of months, then slowly my open bite started closing.

Now my open bite is barely open, i have a small Overjet.

My front tooth is coming into place, which is nice (another tooth hitting where it should, when i cant remember the kast time it did), and now it seems i have less minor corrections that need to be done, and still roughly a year (out of years total) to go.

You too will eventually get to where, even though theres still stuff that needs to be done, you will be so happy with the progress that has happened.
Lots of crimes here

2. Missing teeth #s 9, 14, and, 29

3. Open bite

4. Upper midline left of center

5. Lower midline right of center

6. Upper and lower teeth not straight

Sentence - 24 months, turned to 27 month.

Braces removed since 11/06/17
