After three weeks

#1 Post by Nikkinik »

Hi. This is my first time here and I'm really desperate to know if what happened to me is normal. I got my braces 3 weeks ago and just now while I was touching my two front teeth with my tongue I noticed that they are not aligned anymore. So, I just want to ask is it normal that some are still moving after 3 weeks that I got braces? Sorry I'm bad at explaining but I hope someone gets it coz I'm really scared atm T_T

Thanks!

Funny you should mention that! Just the other day, I noticed that my two front teeth were no longer aligned. So, if it's not normal, then we're both in trouble! But I'm pretty sure it's normal as teeth move around other teeth and squeeze in and what have you.

That happened to me too. Things got worse in the beginning, but as treatment progressed everything lined up nicely.

You will lose your mind if you worry about the position of your teeth like that every step of the way.

It's not like a piece of paper where you just have up and down and left and right lines to deal with, the extra dimension adds difficulty in that there may be steps backwards before it all comes together like it should.

Simple version, things can get worse before they get better and it does no good to stress over the position of your teeth all the time.
Lots of crimes here

1. The upper molars bite too far ahead of the lower molars

2. Missing teeth #s 9, 14, and, 29

3. Open bite

4. Upper midline left of center

5. Lower midline right of center

6. Upper and lower teeth not straight

Sentence - 24 months, turned to 27 month.

Braces removed since 11/06/17

I suppose it's like one of those plastic sliding puzzles where you've got to screw it up a little bit -- even when you're close -- to eventually get it perfect.

My two front teeth haven't been aligned since like my first month and I've had them for 6 months. It's driving me insane and making me depressed. Glad to see it has happened to other peoples teeth! Although my orthodontist acts like he isn't going to correct it.

i'm in this boat too, my front teeth and my canines were aligned before braces but trying to make space on the sides of them for other teeth has caused them to get misaligned. it's not too bad and i wouldn't worry about it too much unless your orthodontist is suggesting that your nearing the end of treatment. in that case i'd ask him if he plans to get them realigned.

I'm getting the same thing. I think its cause they are making space for an incisor. I figure in the end it will all work out...right!
