How long are you estimated. To be in braces? Will you be getting powerchains?

I have some gaps on my front teeth and didn't really notice them closing up till the ortho put power chains on. I asked "When are these gaps going to close up?" and he replied with power chains.

Fair play I hate my teeth my front two poke out quite a lot also have 2 dead teeth either side so there quite dark I've been told I might need jaw surgery during braces depending on how far they can sort them out just with braces an if I can live with the result

I have a gap in my two front teeth, big enough to slide a toothpick in, as well as an overbite estimated at 40%.

Braces went on this past Tuesday (10.18.16). I have the Damon clear on top (with power chain under the arch wire of front teeth) and metal on bottom.

Estimated treatment length: 15 months.

And my gap has already closed a bit. I can no longer slide the tip of my tongue through. My two front teeth are sensitive as all get out but I can feel it getting better with each day.
